An Evening at Coors Field

Last time I had a stint at home I spent an evening strolling around Denver, seeing what there was to see and taking in a Rockies game at beautiful Coors Field.  There’s nothing better than a late summer evening in the Rocky Mountains.  Delicious beer.  Beautiful weather.  Tons of sunshine that inevitably leads to a gorgeous sunset.  It’s second to none, and I’ve been enough places to say that with some degree of certainty.

So without further ado, I’ll let you look around.

That’s all for today, I should probably, like, do my job.  Come back real soon, and we’ll have a look around the Pacific Northwest.

A Walk About Town – Denver – Part 2

And here’s the rest of your snowy March night in Denver…

Them are some dedicated hoes.

Pretty little walk.

We’re in LoDo here. That’s Lower Downtown… The urban redevelopment in the area is really cool. The building there that says ‘seeds’ has been converted to lofts and apartments. The whole area is full of these old grain elevators and factories that have been renovated. Good stuff.

And there’s my train home. And it didn’t come a second too soon. Damn it was a cold night.

And with that, it’s damn near bed time.  Maybe I’ll show you some pictures of my little host town out here soon.  Maybe London.  Hey, you never know.  Goodnight from Kadan, CZ.

A Walk About Town – Denver

During my last little stint at home, I made a point to spend an evening in downtown Denver.  It’s a gorgeous city, and it breaks my heart that I don’t get more time to like, screw around and go to Rockies games and bars and like hang out and shit.

Turns out that the March evening I picked for my little stroll about town was an incredibly wet and snowy little night.  Froze my ass off, but it made for an awfully pretty setting.  Have a look, if you feel so compelled….

Waiting for my train…

The Brown Palace Hotel, kind of a landmark around here.

Ok, the old churches in Denver aren’t nearly as impressive as those in Germany.  Pretty though.

I dunno why, but I kinda like this wall.

And these dumpsters.

Coors Field

And I’ll leave you with Coors Field, a damn pretty ballpark, and the home of your Colorado Rockies.

One more round of Denver pictures coming soon…  Then it’s off to England.

Don’t be a stranger.
